It gives me immense pleasure to extend a cordial welcome to all for the 20th Annual day celebration of Anjuman Institute of Management& Computer Application. I deem it an honour and feel privileged to place before you a brief report of our institution for the academic year 2015– 16.
Our classes commenced from 21st June 2015 & Orientation Programme was organised for BBA & BCA Ist year students from 21st June 2015 to 23rd of June 2014 in which they were briefed about the course. On 26th of June 2015 the senior students have a unique way of inviting & introducing the “Fresher’s”, so that a friendly environment is built in the college.
To cope up with the global challenges the budding managers have uphill tasks. To overcome these challenges the students should be equipped with the essential managerial skills like Leadership, Effective Communication, Analytical skills etc.
To this regard, soft skills like Group Discussion, Case Analysis and Seminars are taught apart from normal classroom teaching.

Our students have shown excellent performance in university examinations. The BCA final year students of 2014– 15 achieved 90% results with 6 Distinctions, 10 First Class. Mr.Mohammed Muyeen Shaikh secured Distinction with 82.87% of Marks, and BBA final year students of 2014 – 15 achieved 100% results with 10 Distinctions, 14 First Class. Mr. Miss.Zinab Varisha Abdul Fatah secured Distinction with 88.16% of marks.

Our Benevolent Management has decided to honour her with a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- along with the concerned subject teacher Prof. Mrs. Bushra KV with a special prize worth Rs. 4000/- and Mr.Jameel Shaikh with a special prize worth Rs.2000/- for their excellence performance and Miss. Qurratul Ain Mushtaque Ahmed Shaikh of BBA II year is awarded Rs. 2000 for securing 94.04%

Activities in college:
In the month of December 2015, BBA IInd and Final Year students were on 30 days in plant training in the various industries.
Annual social gathering is most awaited and regular events of our institute, in view of this gathering we conduct extracurricular activities indoor, outdoor competitions, like carom, chess, badminton, table tennis, cricket etc.
On March 2015 we had organised a 1 day State Level “Management & IT Fest Innovatia-15 and on its eve various events like Inquest (Quiz), Geek Nation (IT Event), Marketeer, Finanza, Arena of Gladiators (Best Manager) & Feminista (Ladies Event) were conducted. A total of 19 Teams participated across the State & the General Championship was bagged by Anjuman Degree College & PG Centre Bhatkal and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- & a trophy.

Sports:
Students of our college have always proved their efficiency and have brought great laurels to our college with their splendid performance in sports under the guidance of our college Physical Director Mr. Mohan Mesta.
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 1st year has secured 2nd place in Long Jump at Taluk Level Dasara Sports.
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 1st year has secured 2nd place in Triple Jump at Taluk Level Dasara Sports
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 1st year has scured 1st place in 4×100 Mtr. Relay at Taluk Level Dasara Sports.
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 1st year was selected for open State Level Kabaddi held in Hubli.
- Our College Football Team were Runner Ups in Taluk Level Dasara Sports.
- Under the Captainship of Mr. Sulaiman S.M. Our College Criket Team were into the Semi Final of Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament held by Karnataka University Dharwad.
- Marwan Shanu (BCA 2nd year) was reserved in University Football Team.
ATHLETIC MEET
We have conducted Athletic Meet on 12th April 2015 at Anjuman Sports Ground Bhatkal.The Chief Guest of the Athletic Meet, was Mr. Riyaz Jagirdar, inaugurated the Athletic Meet 2015 by hosting the college Flag. The General Championship Prize was bagged by Mr.Mohammed Azhar (BBA First Year).
Faculty Activities:
I have attended one day workshop on Research Methodology, Career Guidance & Soft Skill on 21st February 2015.
I have been called as a Guest of Honour for Athletic Meet of Anjuman Degree College & PG Centre Bhatkal on 2nd of March 2015.
I was invited to judge an event of the Vision 2k-15 organised by Anjuman Degree College & PG Centre Bhatkal.
Mr. Mohan Mesta-Physical Director has been selected as a Coach for Table Tennis Team in for KUD South zone and all India Tournament.

Library:
We have well-furnished and full-fledged library meeting up syllabically and knowledge based requirement of the students. There is a collection of 2414 books in BBA and 835 books for BCA. 9 periodicals and 5 newspapers in English, Kannada language. The books in total are worth of Rs. 9 lakhs.
Computer Lab:
In addition to all above, we even possess hi-tech computer lab. Our lab comprises of 40 computers with latest configuration, with internet facility, for the students today are inclined in e-learning.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery. Today is gift of god, which is why we call it the ‘present’.
You have brain in your head; you have feet in your shoes; you can steer yourself any direction you choose. You are the one who will decide where to go.
Lastly, I express my sincere gratitude to our chief guest and the guest of honour for having accepted our invitation and graced this function. My sincere gratitude’s are due to the strong pillar of the institution, our beloved president, vice president, general secretary, secretary and other members of the management. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to my staff, invitees, parents and dear students for their co-operation. Last but not the least; I convey my wishes and good luck to our outgoing students. I wish them every success in their future endeavour.
