Honourable President of the function Janab Abdul Rahim Jukaku, distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. shahed Hashmi, Janab Siddique Ismail General Secretary, Janab Aftab Qamri our College Secretary, other members of the esteemed management, principals of sister institutions, invitees, parents, media persons, my dear colleagues and dear students.
It gives me immense pleasure to extend a cordial welcome to all for the 21st Annual day celebration of Anjuman Institute of Management & Computer Application. I deem it an honour and feel privileged to place before you a brief report of our institution for the academic year 2016– 2017.
Our classes commenced from 05.07.2016 & Orientation Programme was organised for BBA & BCA 1styear students from 05.07.2016 to 06.07.2016 in which they were briefed about the course. On 19th of August 2016 the senior students had a unique way of inviting & introducing the “Fresher’s”, so that a friendly environment is built in the college.
To cope up with the global challenges the budding managers have uphill tasks. To overcome these challenges the students should be equipped with the essential managerial skills like Leadership, Effective Communication, Analytical skills etc.
To this regard, soft skills like Group Discussion, Debate, Extempore,Case Analysis and Seminars are taught apart from normal classroom teaching.

Our students have shown excellent performance in university examinations. The BCA final year students of 2015– 16 achieved 85% results with 10 Distinctions, 5 First Class. Mr.Sayyed Mohd Rahiq secure distinction with 87.05% and BBA final year students of 2015-16 achieved 90% results with 5 Distinctions, 7 First Class. Miss. MeherAfroz Mohammed Gouse secured Distinction with 84.33%

Activities in college:
In the month of December 2016, BBA II and Final Year students were on 30 days in plant training in the various industries.
Annual social gathering is most awaited and regular events of our institute, in view of this gathering we conduct extracurricular activities indoor, outdoor competitions, like carom, chess, badminton, table tennis, cricket etc.
On 09.02.2017 we had organised an Intra-college fest called Tallentine.
On its eve various events like Market Kshetra, Quiz, IQ test, Debate, Drawing, Cooking without fire, and following are the winners of the fest.

Industrial Visit:
Students of our college had been to Hatti Gold mines Raichur District for industrial visit where they saw the extraction process of gold along with Prf. Talooth Mulliam and Prof Nazeer Ahmed on March 31 2017.
Sports:
Students of our college have always proved their efficiency and have brought great laurels to our college with their splendid performance in sports under the guidance of our college Physical Director Mr. Mohan Mesta.
- Mohammed Azhar from BBA 3rd year has secured 3rd place in 800 Mtr. Running & 1st place in Javelin Throw at Taluk Level Dasara Sports.
- Mohammed Azhar & Mohammed Nashit from BBA 3rd year has been awarded by Bhatkal Sports for excellence in sports for the academic year 2016-17
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 3rd year has secured 2nd place in Long Jump at KUD Athletic Meet held at Dharwad.
- Mohammed Nashit, Ameer Basha, Wifaque Ahmed, Mohammed Salman, Ismail Sawood has won in 4*100 Mtrs & 4*400 Mtrs free style relay swimming competition held at Govt First Grade College, Huballi.
- Mohammed Salman from BBA 1st year has secured 2nd place in 400 Mtrs free style swimming & Ismail Sawood from BBA 1st year has secured 3rd place in 200 Mtrs Butter Fly Swimming competition held at Govt First Grade College, Huballi.
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 3rd year has awarded best Catcher in KUD Inter Zonal Kabaddi tournament held at Govt First Grade College, Kalagatgi.
- Mohammed Nashit from BBA 3rd year has awarded for special achievement in sports by sultan youth welfare association Bhatkal.
- Under the Captainship of Mr. Mohammed Nashit our College Kabaddi Team has won Runner up in KUD 3rd Zone Kabaddi tournament held at Govt First Grade College, Mundagod.
- Wifaque Ahmed from BBA 1st year has awarded best rider in KUD 3rd Zone Kabaddi tournament held at Govt First Grade College, Mundagod.
- Mohan Mesta – Physical Director has been selected as a Selection Committee member for Table Tennis Team for KUD.
ATHLETIC MEET
We have conducted Athletic Meet on 15th April 2017 at Anjuman Sports Ground Bhatkal.The Chief Guest of the Athletic Meet was Dr. Mustaque Ahmed Bhavikatti, Principal of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal who inaugurated the Athletic Meet 2017 by hosting the college Flag. The General Championship Prize was bagged by Mr.Mohammed Azhar BBA Final Year and Mr. Mohammed Nashit BBA Final year.
Staff Achivement
Prof Mohammed Mohsin K has been selected as chairman of BBA Marketing Specialization for the academic year 2016-17. At Karnataka University Dharwad.
Prof Mohammed Mohsin K has been selected as Member of Board of Studies At Karnataka University Dharwad
Prof Jameel Shaikh has been selected as chairman of BBA HR Specialization for the academic year 2016-17. At Karnatak University Dharwad.
Mr Mohan Mesta Physical Director has been selected as a Selection Committee member for Table Tennis Team for Karnatak University Dharwad.
Mr. Ganesh Naik cleared NET examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary
Examination UGC.
Library:
We have a well-furnished and full-fledged library, sorted out syllabically and has knowledge based requirement for the students. There is a collection of 2414 books in BBA and 835 books for BCA. 9 periodicals and 5 newspapers ranging from topics like Current Affair to Modern technology in English and Kannada languages are delivered to our college on a regular basis. The books in total are worth of Rs. 9 lakhs.
Computer Lab:
In addition to all above, we even possess a high tech computer lab. Our lab comprises of 40 computers with latest configurations and internet facility for the students who are inclined towards e-learning.

My sincere gratitude is due to the strong pillar of the institution, our beloved president, vice president, general secretary, secretary and other members of the esteemed management.
