A seminar on ‘Enterprise Resource Planning’ was held in Anjuman institute of Management and Computer Applications, Bhatkal on 7th Nov 2021 in which Mr. Mohammed Suhaib Musba, an InforLN Techno Functional Consultant at MEDISERV, Riyadh, KSA was invited as a guest speaker. The main objective of organising this workshop was to make the students aware of the career opportunities offered by learning about database related aspects of SQL and PL/SQL. The seminar was attended by all the students of BCA first, second and final year. The seminar was commenced by welcoming the Guest Lecturer, Principal and the Vice-principal on the dias.
The function began with recitation of Holy Quraan by Mr. RUMAIS BCA II year. Mr.NIHAL AHMED MOTHESHAM BCA III YEAR presided over the function by welcoming Chief Guest and Mr. MOHAMMED SHAHOOR BCA III YEAR introduced the chief guest.
As the session began the Mr. Mohammed Suhaib Musba addressed the gathering about the basic aspects of ERP. He spoke about how ERP works as a single software and a complete system and offers data connectivity and provides productivity tools. We also learned about the applications of ERP in various industries such as medical, transport, production, logistics, banking, retailing, etc.
He also discussed about some of the advantages and disadvantages of using ERP systems. Later on, we learnt about the implementation stages of ERP.
Through this workshop, students learnt about a completely different kind of software that can be used to manage large databases. The seminar was concluded with a Q&A session in which students cleared all their doubts related to the topic.
